Paris Hilton Relates Her Youthful Mischievousness On When I Was 17
Paris Hilton stars on this coming Saturdays episode of the MTV show When I Was 17. As we learn on the show, Paris understood how to plan and strategize as a teenager eager to get out and experience the world. In Paris particular case the world at this juncture was New York City and getting out from under the watchful eyes of her parents and into this playground was the goal.
As Paris explains: When I was 17, I was living in New York City at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. My parents were very strict. So a lot of the times, what I would do is actually sneak out at night.
Since Paris great-grandfather, Conrad Hilton, bought the Waldor-Astoria Hotel in 1949, and the Hotel is part of the Hilton empire, it would be fair to say that Paris was attempting to sneak out of her home!
Of course to get out and about at night Paris had to dodge dozens of hotel security cameras and descend many floors from where she lived.

Paris continues: So basically one day I went through the whole hotel and figured out the best route where the cameras wouldnt spot me, she said. I would literally run down, maybe, fifteen flights of stairs, through the fire exit.
But an undetected escape also required that Paris absence not be noticed back in the hotel suite. To deal with this Paris resorted to a trick reminiscent of The Count of Monte Cristo.

Pariss friend Allison continues the story: She would put pillows in her bed and cover them with her comforter.
Paris added, And then Id put a blond wig, with the hair coming out. This actually worked for a few months. My mom had no idea. Then one night for some reason she needed to talk to me and came in the room and lifted [the comforter] up and Busted!
